Chelsea and Valencia will be playing the UEFA Quarter Final in Stamford Bridge on the 4th of April 2007.

According to IRIB News Agency, The Spanish Daily Marca has considered the Valencia’s Dressing Room as a “rat hole” with “three showers and one mirror for the players” while Chelsea’s Dressing Room has the most luxurious and modern. IRIB News Agency was quick to add that Mourinho [Chelsea Manager] uses the dressing room as a tactic to defeat Chelsea Opponents.

I have checked the Marca Magazine and have been unable to find evidence of such comments. I checked the BBC Sports and Chelsea FC Website and was able to appreciate information about both teams. Chelsea has won its last four home Championship Matches while Valencia has not won its last three matches.

This is the first time that Chelsea and Valencia meet and there could be surprises. Chelsea would have to pull off a miracle if it is to stay in contention. While Chelsea is improving injurywise, Arjen Robben, Michael Essien, Joe Cole cannot afford to be booked in this game since they will be suspended. Valencia’s Navarro and Marchena are suspended because of a brawl during the game against Internazionale.

I am willing to conclude that Chelsea may win this one if ony by 3-2 or 2-1 barring any difficulty. Only time will tell about how Chelsea and Valencia plays itself in Stamford Bridge.
