An English Businessman named Steve Morgan has agreed to buy the Wolverhampton Wolves.

The transaction was agreed when Sir Jack Hayward sold all of his shares to Mr. Morgan under the condition of one ten pound payment and the promise of an investment of 30m pound payment in the Championship’s Club.

Steve Morgan is set to become Chairman while Mick Mc Carthy remains as Manager and Jez Moxey remains as Chief Executive.

Life and Professional Career:

Steve Morgan was born in Liverpool in 1953 and is a fan of the Liverpool Football Club since he was young. In 1974, he started Redrow as a Construction and Housebuilding Company and was its head until the company floated on the London Stock Exchange in 2000.

In the 1980’s, he went into the hotel business by combining his interests with the De Vere Hotel Group. He also was into property development and investment in Europe and North America with his Jersey Based Bridgemere Group of Companies. He also owned interests in the Harrow Estates plc, and Salamanca Finance plc.

Sports:

Steve Morgan wanted to buy Liverpool and failed two times. Unfortunately, his clashes with Liverpool Chairman David Moores lead to the acquisition of Liverpool by the American Duo of Tom Hicks and George Gillett.
He was successful in his acquisition of the Wolverhampton Wanderers and has expressed hope of taking the team to a higher level in the Premiership.

Humanitarian Work:

Steve Morgan is also the head of the Morgan Foundation which dedicates to helping charities for children and families in the North Wales, Merseyside, West Cheshire and North Shropshire (his native Liverpool and the surrounding regions).

Conclusion:

It is refreshing to announce that an English Businessman who has the interest of football at heart will purchase an English Club with the intention of improving its standard in the Premiership.

Steve Morgan is an individual that is needed in places like Manchester City, threatened by Thaksin Sinavatra, Arsenal, Manchester United under the Glazer Boot, and other English Clubs threatened with a takeover.

Steve Morgan has the will and the desire to help the Wolves. Only time will tell if he could make his dreams a reality.
