It’s another great weekend of Football in the Premiership this weekend. Two clubs have changed managers this week with Gary Megson taking charge of his first game at Bolton where he will play at home to Aston Villa while Tottenham are at home to Blackburn but it is yet clear whether they will have their new man in place.

Birmingham vs Wigan

Both sides are on the same points.

Wigan haven’t been doing too well recently as they have been missing Emile Heskey, Mario Melchiot and Antonie Siberski but Melchiot could be back for this game which would be good news for the away side.

Birmingham have had a decent start to the season and will be thinking they can get 3 points but I’ll foolishly no doubt back Wigan to get a point they deserve it.

Prediction: Birmingham 1-1 Wigan

Chelsea vs Man City

Both sides are in good form.

True Chelsea are not in the position they’d want to be in but they’ve won their last 4 games and Didier Drogba is in top form despite saying he wants to leave. As for Man City they look really good at home but haven’t done as well away from home. It will be an interesting clash.

But I’ll go for Chelsea to edge it.

Prediction: Chelsea 2-1 Man City

Man Utd vs Middlesbrough

Man Utd have started to hit top form.

12 goals in their last 3 games and the victories over Aston Villa and Dynamo Kiev have been superb, Ronaldo looked fantastic against Kiev and Rooney has scored 3 goals in the last 2 games as well as missing a penalty he’s on top form so there couldn’t be a worse time for Boro to come to Old Trafford.

I’m going for a Utd rout.

Prediction: Man Utd 4-0 Middlesbrough

Reading vs Newcastle

Newcastle can welcome back Alan Smith for this clash.

I think both sides would settle for a point and I think that’s what it will be, Reading have been inconsistent while Newcastle are much better at St James’s Park than they are elsewhere just look at the defeats to Derby and Man City.

But they’ll get a draw here.

Prediction: Reading 1-1 Newcastle

Sunderland vs Fulham

Fulham are in a bad way.

They drew at home to Derby last weekend and to be honest it should have been a lot worse. Derby could have easily won that game 3-0 and nobody could have said it was unfair. They’re also struggling to score and I don’t think that will change in this game they’re in for a relegation battle.

As for Sunderland despite losing to West Ham they were massively unlucky and at 1-1 they were the better team I expect them to bounce back and claim all 3 points.

Prediction: Sunderland 2-0 Fulham

Portsmouth vs West Ham

West Ham were lucky to beat Sunderland last sunday.

While Portsmouth have been fantastic they’ve won 4 in a row and in the last two games I said they’d draw well I’m not making the same mistake again they look good at home and away and I can really see them finishing in the top 6 this season.

Home win.

Prediction: Portsmouth 3-0 West Ham

Derby vs Everton

Everton were unlucky last saturday.

They had a stonewaller Penalty appeal turned down, They had a 50/50 Penalty appeal turned down, A Liverpool player should have been sent off and wasn’t and then to cap it all off that same player scores the winning penalty. Not to mention the red card to Tony Hibbert was only given cause Gerrard argued.

But they got back on track with a win over Larissa and with Tim Cahill back they’ll get the 3 points.

Predictions: Derby 0-2 Everton

Tottenham vs Blackburn

Blackburn sit in the top 6 while Spurs sit in the bottom 3.

With Martin Jol gone I can’t see things changing for Tottenham they don’t take their chances up front while at the back without Ledley King they’re a shambles. Blackburn are well organized and with Roque Santa Cruz and Benni McCarthy up front I think Blackburn will win this game.

Prediction: Tottenham 2-3 Blackburn

Bolton vs Aston Villa

It was a dissappointing result for Bolton against Braga.

But Gary Megson’s in charge now and he managed to keep West Brom up so he’ll be asked to do the same and after the way Bolton played last week against Arsenal I think he’ll manage to do it. Martin O’Neil’s doing a good job at Villa but they got hammered by Man Utd last week and I think Bolton will win.

Prediction: Bolton 2-0 Aston Villa

Liverpool vs Arsenal

Arsenal are on the top of the world while Liverpool aren’t.

Arsenal are top of the table in the Premiership and have won all 3 of their Champions League group matches while Liverpool have only got 1 point from their opening 3 games and look likely to be eliminated. Theo Walcott is in sparkling form for the Gunners and after Arsenal beat Liverpool twice at Anfield last year I think they’ll do it again.

Prediction: Liverpool 1-2 Arsenal

Will Bolton and Tottenham get off to good starts with new bosses?

Can Arsenal stay at the top of the table?

And can Fulham turn things around?
